Ok, so here's the deal...
Not too long ago I was working as a web developer and this is where I kept my online portfolio. A few of my
friends discovered that by performing odd web searches using my name they would see my page listed in the
results as expected. It didn't take them long to discover that when they clicked on my page from one of these
odd searches the key phrases they used would show up in my Google Analytics report.
Upon my next review of my site statistics I of course saw these searches and got quite a chuckle. Since then I have
accepted a position with a marketing company and no longer needed this online portfolio so I decided to
have a bit of fun with things.
Our friends at Google have a great API for the analytics package which was extremely easy to work with thanks
to the GAPI PHP class. Now as users search the web and land here the key phrases they use will be displayed below
